“ At over 1400 m you reach the highest point in Åre, and can enjoy some simple food in the Toppstugan. Clearly you cannot expect top restaurant food, since everything needs to be transported to the hut, but on a windy and rainy day even the simple food served there is really enjoyable. There are ca 6-7 tables, and it’s warm and cozy. ”

The waffles were heavenly, perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, complemented by a variety of delicious toppings. The renklämmor, a traditional Sami reindeer sandwich, was an absolute delight – flavorful, tender, and truly authentic.The hike itself was incredible, offering stunning panoramic views of the Åre landscape, including glimpses of Lake Åresjö and the distant Tännforsen waterfall on clear days. The changing weather conditions add an element of adventure, making each visit unique and memorable.Overall, Toppstugan Åre is a must-visit for anyone in the area. The combination of excellent food, spectacular views, and the sense of accomplishment from the hike creates an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended! ”

“ Beautiful place. We walked up from the cable car with one 3 year old (in a back pack) and one 5 year old. Steep at some places but a beautiful view when you reach the top. Food at the toppstuga is ok. Waffels was the best in Åre during our visit. ”
